These terms apply to your use of the website makefont.ai, operated by Thomas Gnahm (see Legal notice). By using the website you agree to them.

2. What this website is

The website presents MakeFont, a product in development. Using the website is free of charge. Signing up for early access or as a design partner is a non-binding expression of interest: it creates no contract for services, no claim to access and no payment obligation. When MakeFont offers products, separate terms will apply to them.

3. Content and fonts

Texts, images, design and the trial fonts made with MakeFont (Life Science Sans Trial 01, MakeFont Sans 01) are protected. You may view them on this website, but you may not download, copy or use the trial fonts in your own projects without our written permission. The other typefaces on this website are open-source fonts from Google Fonts and are subject to their own licences, mostly the SIL Open Font License.

4. Interactive features

The name preview, the font comparison and the bonus game are demonstrations. They are provided as they are and may change or disappear at any time.

5. Availability and liability

We do not guarantee that the website is always available or free of errors. As the website is free of charge, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. This limitation does not apply to injury to life, body or health or to liability under mandatory law, such as the German Product Liability Act.

We are not responsible for the content of external websites linked from this website.

7. Changes

We may change these terms at any time. The version published on this page at the time of your visit applies.

8. Governing law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
